Symptoms:
- Redness at the site of the tick bite followed by itching sensations
- Headache
- Fever
- Fatigue
- Irregular heart beat
- Pain or nubness in the hands and feet
- Stiffness of the neck
Tests to diagnose:
- Blood tests to be conducted as recommended by the doctor
- Physical examination of the visible skin rash
Treatment:
- Antibiotics (amoxycillin and/ or tetracycline)
- Penicillin antibiotics
- Non-sterooidal anti-inflammatory drugs
